About Us

ITE works to improve mobility and safety for all transportation system users, helping to build smart and livable communities. Founded in 1930, ITE is a volunteer-driven association of more than 18,000 engineers, planners, consultants, educators, researchers, technologists, and students working in more than 78 countries.

ITE Kansas Section (KSITE) is affiliated with the ITE Missouri Valley District. We provide opportunities for professional development and community building at the regional and local levels through annual meetings, training, luncheons, and by connecting members with area Student Chapters.

KSITE is a professional organization of transportation engineers, planners, and related professionals. Our geographic coverage includes the entire state of Kansas and the Missouri counties of Atchison, Nodaway, Worth, Harrison, Mercer, Holt, Andrew, Gentry, DeKalb, Davies, Grundy, Livingston, Buchanan, Clinton, Caldwell, Carroll, Platte, Clay, Ray, Jackson, Lafayette, Cass, Johnson, Bates, and Henry. We are committed to advancing knowledge and fostering collaboration in the fields of traffic and transportation engineering and planning. As a volunteer-led section, we welcome participation from both engineers and non-engineers who are passionate about improving transportation systems and communities.
